VentureBeat: Airlines may jettison in-flight entertainment for personal gadgets

    You might note that Southwest Airlines has never offered inflight entertainment (or meals). I don't miss either on one or two stop flights from Providence RI to the left coast (and like their better economy seats, legroom, convenient scheduling and flight changes). Inflight Wifi - no cell phones - would be welcome and I believe SWA is prototyping that service.
