I'd be interested to see how many apps drive a majority of Apple's sales though. I feel like it's the same for them, as there are five crappy apps for every good one.

Are the number of apps TRULY relevant to the success of a product?

They may be things that are "nice-to-haves," but it's not a deal-killer.
