Speed test shocker: AT&T wins Gizmodo’s 12-city 3G megatest
If one of the founders reads this drop me a line and tell me your process, it is always nice to see how someone else is doing it.

MarkTend.com (lots of liability!!!!!)
Michael,
We built BeenVerified recognizing that liability was a main concern for small and medium businesses, which is exactly why we bring the candidate into the process. Both sides receive copies of the information we verify and can raise any issues or disputes. Agree with you on pricing and we are exploring different avenues, especially since we provide much more than just a background check. Looking to keep our entry points low for now though.
Interesting spin on bringing the parties together in the process and making them hold hands; that just might work. We decided early that our liability exposure on the calendaring function would cost us a bunch in time and money so we decided that we had more time than money (our founders don't sleep and work for peanuts) so we setup a quadruple key system (three human and one computer).
We actually sell (hey, have to call it something) the calendar for way under our cost to get the client to use our other services. There is some risk of the free ride but we have priced that into the model. I am not sure if your model includes live humans but our process might work for you too as long as your burn rate is low.
In this economy you are dead on track with your low entry points! Good job!
