VentureBeat: Blist claims to be easiest database ever

    It's extremely similar to Filemaker, only for Web. I have to admit it's pretty slick, though... it's too bad Google's office programs aren't as nicely made as this.

    Yeah... no.

    I'm all for simple databases but not as web applications.

    I've worked with a lot of clients over the years using excel for what should be a database, I've tried lots of times to move them to other solutions but it comes down to a few things

    1. They already know Excel
    2. Old doesn't can't learn new tricks
    3. They need it off-line
    4. They already paid for Office and even if X is free, X de-values Office which is their security blanket.
    5. If they can get over that stuff they've probably already moved to Access.

    BTW personally I'm a UNIX man and bit PostgreSQL advocate, but most of my clients don't agree with my opinions about it.
