VentureBeat: Blockbuster remembers that it bought MovieLink

    Do you really think $20 million was a "considerable deal?" Just want to point out that a $100 million poured in doesn't mean the company must have been worth that or more at any point (even if that's what its investors hoped for).

    Do you have any other reasons [facts] that show this as a good deal? Otherwise, it seems that you're just guessing. I might tend to guess in that same direction, but for all we know, Movielink was overpriced at $20 million. Nothing wrong with guessing, but it should be noted as such.

    I don't believe Movielink was purchased for $20 mil. I read in some articles that it was significantly less... like around $6 mil?

    not a deal... www.MovieFlix.com was starte for $10k in 1998 and is profitable. thats a true startup story... not getting $100mm in funding just to blow it all...
