I was one of the first users of the Goog desktop - and originally LOVED it. However, as someone who has an archive of some 30,000 emails and some 30,000 files that are edited and moved frequently - the Goog desktop failed...the fact that it does not do active archiving and indexing is absolutely astounding to me...yet it is so, and I finally had to uninstall it as 50% of the files I was looking for were simply not there...maybe the way I manage files, but the the net-net was - it didn't work. SO I uninstalled and moved on...

    Cheers,

    J

One would think the Windows file system functions could be patched so that the indexing software would be alerted to files being changed or moved. Of course this becomes a non-issue once all files are stored in GooGooLand...
