    A great sign of life in the valley. Let's hope this is the first of many more deals to come this year.

    My litmus test for products like these are if my kids take to it naturally (e.g., my three year old is addicted to my iPod touch). Well, I bought my six year old a mino, and he took to it like a fish to water. Software works great, brain dead simple and quality is in the "good enough" bucket.

    Btw, totally different angle on Flip Video but check out my post:

    Flip Video News - Crowd Sourcing meets CNN. (http://bit.ly/foo0)

    Leverages the legions of Scobles out there.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    @hypermark,

    I use the flip almost daily for the past 2 yrs. The oldest model before it was called flip still works. My 6 yr old can take videos and play them back. Flip is a market sweeping phenomenon. Youtube, Seesmic and many video sites owe their growth to the flip.

    Smart move by Cisco.

    CISCO in consumer business?
    That will be challenging for the company.

    How can this valuation be justified when everybody will soon have mobile phones with video capabilities?
