I can totally believe that Crunchyroll is run by HotOrNot, and that it is an illegal site. Scott Heighton, can you tell me where you get YOUR facts? lol Such an fool to doubt facts and call the journalist a wannabe and n00b when you yourself have no proof that Crunchyroll is innocent. If you can write an essay and post it here, with logical evidence and thinking, I'll believe you.

Re: Crunchyroll, for pirated anime content

ang korne ng palabas nio palitan nman ninyo sayang ang binabayad namin ok pls

Re: Crunchyroll, for pirated anime content

Run by HotOrNot?!? Are you kidding me? Chris, I don't know where you get your facts from, but it is usually a good idea to check them...Freaking n00b wannabe journalist...

Re: Crunchyroll, for pirated anime content

I am user and will say that these folks will survive without VC funding. The bottom line is any VC who funds this is an idiot. Can you spell N-A-P-S-T-E-R? And the founders would be idiots to get it since you can fund this type of operation with whatever income they have. The issue is when they get sued for violating DMCA, they just have to cough up all the cash they made and more. Further, it's idiotic to think DMCA protects them since they make money on clearly ILLEGAL content. The circumvention of DMCA is actually potentially CRIMINAL and subject to RICO statutes. It would be interesting if James Hong can outsmart the FBI.

Re: Crunchyroll, for pirated anime content

Brandon Ooi (Berkeley '05) is your man, Chris.
