VentureBeat: Dell’s uses Zink Imaging to create an ink-free mobile printer

iPhones don't support Bluetooth-enabled image transfer to other devices, so they cannot be used with portable printers like the Dell Wasabi

Yet... Apple will catch up soon I suspect. ;-)

Cool. That's hugely disruptive to a printer industry that makes its profit from ink instead of the machines themselves ;)

I do not see the disruption here as the cost goes to the paper instead of the ink. . .nothing else changes. I am just not sure I see the use case for this device. It still looks too big to be a convenient carried device and when you are at home or office, you have an ink printer that will be faster and have higher quality output. Because they are not focused on the devices themselves, it will be extremely difficult to control 3rd party paper suppliers if these devices actually get major traction.

Well, if you decide to get a Wasabi (or a PoGo or a Xiao, for that matter) and want a place to put those adorable, albeit expensive, little 2 x 3 photos, check out http://www.adessoalbums.com/yourbook-photo-gues... and http://www.adessoalbums.com/pogo-photo-guest-bo... for some album options from Adesso Albums...
