I agree, but we just wanted to get the list up, and this is what was available on the DEMO site. Also, a lot of the information about the companies is under embargo until tomorrow morning. You'll be hearing more about them soon.

Give us the scoop. Last year VentureBeat, RRW, and GigaOm were TC partners, but this year TC is on its own. What happened?

Simon, we're not taking sides. DEMO chose to advertise its event on our site, and Anthony was just disclosing that fact. TechCrunch is a start-up, and most likely doesn't have the resources to advertise on VentureBeat. That really has no impact on us, as advertising is kept separate from editorial coverage. That's why we're covering both conferences equally.

We'll continue to partner with TechCrunch where appropriate. You're right, we were partners of TC during the Crunchies, and we've talked about partnering on that again. No changes.
