It started to go wrong after 2009 when some website developer 3sixty http://3sixtyweb.com/ has taken over divShare. I didn't know this before. Millions of dollars involved. Don't know what happen next but all products that related to 3sixty are gone or almost dead. I use google drive now, better API, easier integration and no server bloat because of the javascript API.

Send some emails to them but no answer, received one email about their situation., no plans for the future (or not sure what going to be happen). I say DIVSHARE IS DEAD and everybody have to know it. Spending so much time on this bullshit, Kadoo and all the other shit. Done the Google API in a week, not months. Send also some ideas to modernize it... but nope. 3SIXTY, DIVSHARE, KADOO, HOOTYCALL, EMOMMY are DEAD horses. Don't invest in these bullshit. Goto the website of 3sixty and see for yourself, links not working or dead.

Re: DivShare says it’s for sale but not dead

Thank you, VentureBeat. I was worried about what was happening.

Re: DivShare says it’s for sale but not dead

wait, so ask him why NONE of the dvishare files are now accessible? just google site:divshare.com and a random keyword. all divshare files as of right now not avaliable anymore.

Re: DivShare says it’s for sale but not dead

Still hard to believe they are selling so suddenly. I think box.net should pick them up as they are already spending loads on affiliate and ppc -- they could gain much needed traffic from an acquisition the size of divshare.com . In the meantime, a great alternative to divshare.com is http://www.filebam.com and also http://www.zshare.net . Anyway, good luck with the sale David and team and look forward to your next project.
