It is with good reason why internet dating companies are targeting the over 50's. If the dating scene in the States is like the UK scene then over 50's will be out of place going to traditional dating spots like pubs and clubs. They feel inadequate and unable to compete and this dulls any confidence they may have. The internet is however a place they can relax and this allows them to be their true selves. I had to admit to believing that in my teens sex and dating was not for the over 40's let alone the over 50's. How wrong I was, now I find myself at 50+.

There are too many website trying to attract users based on age, sex, money, location, hobby etc. Consolidation is going to happen very soon.
