    I think you need to review your definition of monopoly. There cannot be a monopoly in a luxury good, people simply don't need it. While sirius is not necessarily "luxury" it certainly is an extra that many (282 million in the US) can and will live without. Even without regulation, let's say after the merger these two hike the price to $50 a month. Nobody has to pay that and they will go out of business. It's ridiculous to report this merger as a government sanctioned monopoly and I'm personally shocked that it took 18 months to approve.
