I'll be surprised if these studies and committees don't eventually go with a wiMax option for most of rural america. Wired options just seem so much more expensive.

What can consumers due to get away from the monopoly of Comcast in the rural Beaver, PA area for broadband. There is no competition and service from other providers, basically allowing to charge the customer what ever they would like when broadband internet service in urban areas is so much less expensive? Thanks

As staggering as the spending seems, especially given the circumstances of the world economy, I think this investment will ultimately pay off for the better.
