We have only been in public beta phase for four days, so as more buyers and sellers discover and experience Fididel, we expect the opportunities to grow steadily.

We appreciate all feedback since we firmly believe the community will be crucial to helping us continuously enhance the Fididel experience. To this end we are working directly with Fiestaforrest to work through the issues that were raised in the comments.

JP

Re: Fididel launches live-negotiation auction business

I was contacted several months ago, by Fididel's sales staff to become a seller (they are offering free listings to sellers who sign on during their beta). They originally said that they could use .csv files exported from TurboLister, but it turns out they can't use any fancy html on their site, so TurboLister listings must be modified. They have had my listings for nearly 2 months, but as of Sunday night, none of my listings had been uploaded. When I contacted them, I received a response late Sunday night needing me to jump through all kinds of hoops to allow the listings to be uploaded.

I also went through their Fididel University to become a Fidideler (one of the people who negotiate for a seller when the seller is not online). I decided I would stay online as a Fidideler to see what kind of traffic the site is getting before I jump through all of the hoops. I have been online for 3 hours now and have not been assigned a single negotiation. That does not bode well.

Re: Fididel launches live-negotiation auction business

This site empowers consumers and sellers. The first day this site was launched my products sold for a fair price. Everyone was happy - consmuer and me, the seller!

Re: Fididel launches live-negotiation auction business

Fididel's just a fad that'll fizzle out. eHabits die even harder. Haggling's boring and time-consuming. 90% of folks will just take it... or leave.

Re: Fididel launches live-negotiation auction business

Interesting, but isn't this what eBay had in mind when they acquired Skype in the first place? Is the only difference that Fididel is real-time bargaining, whereas eBay+Skype would still be an auction, but with conversation? That seems like splitting hairs to me - if there's really demand for this service, eBay should leverage Skype and make it happen.
