Compare with, e.g., the BMW M5, which starts at $85k.  The M5 has more horsepower (once you get the blasted thing in the right mode) but gets 13 mpg.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;(I was looking at the Tesla, but it has no cargo space; looked at the M5, but it's such an environmental disaster; am now waiting for either the Fisker Karma or the Model S, at this point.
