    Sorry to say but Rails is not any easier to code than PHP. This is a misconception that has become common.

    Ruby is a programming language just like any other - nothing special about it. What's great about it is the marketing.

    Chris - thanks for picking this up. Just wanted to add a little more color on one thing. The Rails shops we talk to are all trying to get their heads around the performance (and scalability) of their Rails apps before they take them into production. Our software helps them understand where bottlenecks are occurring in their apps so they can take action. That's one of the things they like about FiveRuns, it helps them do that automatically without any direct involvement from us. As sites begin to instrument their performance, we look forward to seeing the market for Rails continue its roll.
