VentureBeat: G1, the first Android-powered phone, coming to U.S. stores on October 22nd

    Really enjoyed the press event, it's a relief really to finally have some official confirmation on details such as pricing, release dates and smaller details for the handset.

    Still a few little snags, mainly corporate email support - but im sure given time they'll be some applications in development to add that functionality.

    I'm eagerly looking forward to October now, and the coming weeks as the first Android/G1 reviews start to trickle out.
