In 2006 they received acquired about $3 million in funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Re: Glam, the Web’s fastest growing network, unveils Digg-like feature

Good that they're able to launch new features with the VC money. They definitely want to take over as the number 1 women's site in the world. But my question is, will readers care about all of these new features. Sometimes companies are so fixated with launching new features so that they can get publicity through media outlets like these that they lose the main goal of their very existence.

I also question the type of sites that they aggregate, some have hardly any volume before they join Glam and GLam was the one that helped them get the volume through internal link exchanges. Site such as She finds, Style hive, HerFabLife.com etc who have higher traffic than some of these sites don' even get into their network. They should either aggregate or acquire these potential sites. Seems strange. They need to beef up their affiliates/publishers network personnel.
