    Wow. Finally we get to see the numbers they don't put on Vault guides. Google surely pays their employees very well, especially the software engineers. Now competitors can enter the space and start reading in on what people think of their companies...

    This might changed their corporate culture. It's like having a massive feedback system. I think it might create a lot of competitiveness with the salaries though. If I were at Yahoo making $80K yet Google was paying them $120K, I'd definitely apply for a switch.

    Maybe this added transparency will help companies re-tool comp and benefits - closing the door once and for all on the double standard of executive based above the law, non-performance based comp and the real world. Or all comments will be "Cheney'd" away - hidden from public view, locked in a man-size safe, marked classified or shot in the face with schrapnel.

    Personally - I like anything that supports transparency of information on the net and hope that the world is ready for constructive criticism.

    if you like glassdoor, then check out employeessoundoff.com. this site is easier to navigate, totally anonymous, no log in or email required, just a place to vent. and hey, they didnt have 3 million budget to get started.
