This is great news...as a T-Mobile customer, I'm definitely excited! It will definitely take time to catch up with the big boys, but I think T-Mobile is onto something here...

try downloading stuff on t-mobile edge network... haha hours later.
t-mobile's 3g wont be up in the U.S. for another year. by that time apple will release a new iphone :)

    Hi Erik,
good point. The US network continues to be a big problem for them. However, from what I hear in the last hours the app store is an international move. T-Mobile owns/has access to much better networks in Europe (which are usually superior to those in the USA in the moment, the way some Japanese/Korea networks are better than the European ones).

Also, related to that, the Android SDK is way superior to the Iphone SDK, in my private opinion. I expect the Android apps to be more spectecular than the Iphone ones in the public opinion when they come out.

as a developer i would still prefer to get my stuff in the app store from apple. just think about how many plattforms t-mobile serves. what is the most phone customers one developer can reach? i think not a lot compared to the millions of iphone users.
anyway, nice try t-mobile. but i think they are too late.
