Certainly not! You give away a Kleenex number, a Masque Number that you control (same main options as GrandCentral) and that you can drop at any time.
Google is right to go after mobile advertizing, and trying to control people's phone numbers.
A Masque Number is the antidote. The same way you have a junk email address for spam.
