  • hunter walk · 10 months ago
not only were we probably the first google product to tweet but we've currently got the most followers. @google should take that as a friendly challenge ;-)

  • hunter walk · 10 months ago
jeez, they passed us in <24 hrs -- well, does google/youtube/etc have the largest cumulative follower pool? not yet if you say digg = kevin rose, mahalo = calacanis, but i think so if you look just at trademark names
  • hunter walk · 10 months ago

it's really nice to googler finally tweeting on twitter....
  • Sam Davyson · 10 months ago
Twitter was also started by ex-googlers (Evan Williams worked at Pyra labs which made Blogger so joined Google through that acquisition.)
  • MG Siegler · 10 months ago
    Very true.
  • Andy · 10 months ago

why there are 14 binary codes and "feeling lucky" is just 12 letters??
  • Kajun · 10 months ago
12 letters plus one character for the space, and one at the end for the line feed.
  • MG Siegler · 10 months ago
Yeah exactly, thanks for knocking out that question Kajun.
  • Matt Shaulis · 10 months ago
Check this site out for example, so we can all look smart now just like some Googler has done. (Wikipedia takes too long to go back and forth the "ol fashioned" way and Gabe's way is damn near worse than the old fashioned way... lol... )...so without ado: http://www.roubaixinteractive.com/PlayGround/Bi...

so they joined twitter, but what about Jaiku, the Twitter-like service that Goolge bought?
  • MG Siegler · 10 months ago
They announced last month they would stop supporting Jaiku -- though a couple Googlers are apparently going to keep it going.
