Lame article. Tools to create your own trojans has been around for a long time ago just search for Cult of the Dead Cow or Back Orifice or Sub7.

There have been tools around for a long time, but how many of those tools were easy enough for a "regular guy" like a journalist to use? Illustrating how pervasive malware is these days is a good things. I have people like my parents' friends doing banking from library computers with single factor authentication and they don't realize it is unsafe.
