    Ok, interesting concept... but, what I don't understand is how the company intends to measure how people react to hearing this advertisement...

    Let's say I do see a trailer of a movie... From the trailer, this technology is going to be so smart that it will realize what movie it is? and not only that, but if I see the movie a year from now, it will recognize that I've seen that movie?

    also, how can this phone track everything? what if I have headphones on? what if I am having a confidential business discussion? all of this will be recorded?

    anyone have answers to these questions?

    a digital signature is made of the snippet of sound. no actual recording is transmitted. this signature is uploaded to a server which has the corresponding signatures of ads which are being tracked, and records when a match occurs. hence no conversations or actual recordings are disseminated from the phone.
