appears that Ask is making a effort to be more Google-like - while AOL is making to be more web2.0 portal-like. Where have you been?

According to HitWise - Ask.com, as of last month for the first time, has moved past AOL to capture the 4th Spot after the 'big three' (GYM) in Search usage popularity.

It appears that Ask is making a effort to be more Google-like - while AOL is making to be more web2.0 portal-like.

It is interesting to see how long ASK can flourish without being acquired by one of the big three.
