Venturebeat, I firmly believe your are the best tech blog around because you blog when you have something substantial to say and you say it right. This article does not belong here. Seen the best selling applications on the iPhone the IQ of their buyers seems to be very low.
Soon owning an iPhone will not be COOL anymore as you are one of these people downloading stupid applications with no use. Even 12 year olds will avoid the iPhone.

In the best case iPhone is a niche market and should be compared to the Nintendo DSi market.
