VentureBeat: Is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce corrupt? And why it matters

  • S.t · 1 month ago
Does the US Chamber of Commerce have any link to ACORN? Is obama's 'safe school'-czar (& pedophile/NAMBLA fisting advocate) Kevin Jennings a member of the Chamber of Commerce? Is disgraced racist communist 'green jobs'-czar Van Jones associated in any way with the Chamber of Commerce? Has the founder of the Weather Channel threatened to sue the Chamber of Commerce for fraud?

"Well, first, the science about climate change is undisputed."

Well, I guess you lost all your credibility with that statement.

Your statement "A survey of more than 900 scientific peer review articles on climate change found that not one conflicted with the United Nations’ IPCC’s conclusion that the world is getting hotter and that the vast majority of the effect is caused by human carbon emissions." is factually incorrect. In fact the only 7% of the authors gave an explicit endorsement of the consensus: http://xrl.in/3anz

Unfortunately the science is far settled.

    Timely from BBC today:

    What happened to global warming?

This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998.
But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

Matt just joined many in the media who think that if they tell us "the science about climate change is undisputed" over and over again, that we'll eventually believe it. Frank (above) is spot on. You just completely blew your cred on that statement.

I am by no means an expert on the environment, but the sound of "clean coal" sounds like a bit of an oxymoron. Wouldn't areas like wind and solar make a bigger difference?
