    Doesn't the part regarding Linux sound exactly like SCO's allegations? I'm not an attorney, but this sounds like a lot of bull. If you say someone is infringing on your patents and you don't openly state what the problem is, I don't believe future claims on this matter can be enforceable one bit.

    The other issue I'm having with this is that Micro$oft hasn't changed much in their stand. They are basically saying "if you're a coder with only 2 cents in your pocket, it won't be worth pursuing any patent infringement and hence you're free to do as you please. But if on the other hand you have a few bucks that could pay for Bill's next trip to the barber, your ass is ours!"

    Yep, sounds like the same Micro$oft company I still don't want to use their technology!!!

    IIRC, if Torvalds wrote a letter to Microsoft requesting disclosure of infringement they'd have to let him know, or be considered in the future as having acted in 'bad faith'.
