FlixUp bringing its movie Twitter tracker to the web
I feel like I read somewhere that these types of agreements are usually not enforceable in California, but Freewebs looks like they're headquartered in Maryland (though SGN is in CA), so it might depend on where he was working when this occurred. Regardless, it sounds like bullshit. Hope he fights and wins.
may be freewebs, but what the hell the company is!
THEN you'll come back and bitch some more!!!!
If it were google or yahoo, they'll probably just close one eye but its such shady, sneaky startups that don't have any solid stuff going for them that you as an employee would want to be careful off. Make sure you do not sign your life away.
What you do out of your work hours should be your own fucking business.
If he was in California he shouldn't have to worry. In Cali, whatever you do belongs to you. Non-complete, NDA shit serves for nothing.
The rule of thumb is that unless there's a lot of money at stake, nobody bothers. Obviously, a million a month for Freewebs is a big deal. For Google it would be lunch money.
By someone who worked in a separate part of the company.
On personal time and on personal equipment.
Have fun paying all of Dave's court costs SGN. You suck.
I am proud to be a friend of yours!!
MachineGun Maestro
You must be logging on from Prison.
THis suit is about $$$$$ for SGN, given David's theft....
Very entertaining and actually at times educational.
Dennis you are hilarious, and through that I see some points for sure.
Andrew short and sweet, Classic...
Now to get right down to it, since I hired Coders and some flash guys to help me bring my ideas and products to the social net works, I have had to deal with 60% of these guys thieving my intellectual property setting up shop on my dime, on the sly, then making up an excuse why things may not be working out, quitting and becoming the competition and or running with my Ideas and products that were in the works, which these Bastards slowed down to a grinding halt to top it off just to get in the from runner position!
That being said, I don't know if David Stole from (Freewebs) spin off SGN, but it will all come out in court, if he was dumb enough not to see Mob Wars full potential and didnt quit before just to cover his ass, then something is off, for an obvious tech savvy entrepreneur to not know better, shows someone want his cake and eat it to, plus a safety net, well go big or go home, or in this case Go Big or lose your effin home cause you a thief and if not just dumb and greedy, eitherway something shady is going on, cause if there was no grounds for a lawsuit it wont make through court and or even get to a trial, besides making all that money if the figures are tru, what has he done for his users??? the faithfuls???
Nothing! Greed my friends, shows his character already and anyone that sticks up for this type of greed, goes from zero to so called Hero and gives nothing back!?!
There is no excuse.
Thats a Schmuck and Karmas a Bitch!
P.S.
David you even had a fake profile that you launched the game from, so you could not get caught under Jason something, come on youre not an idiot you knew better to pre meditate fake profile(s)
What were you thinking???
Good Luck either way, shitty Buzz.
Maybe like that thief Mark Zuckerberg who did the same to his pals u coonect at harvard, will work out for you, save all the money for the lawyers...
ConnectU controversy
Zuckerberg's Harvard classmates, Divya Narendra, Cameron Winklevoss, and Tyler Winklevoss, claim they hired him to finish the code on their website, ConnectU and that he stole their idea, design, business plan, and source code. A lawsuit was filed in 2004 claiming a breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright infringement, in addition to other claims. Zuckerberg claims there was no contract and that he was not a partner. They are seeking monetary damages.[11] ConnectU has maintained that it is not their intention to shut down Facebook.
Since its original filing in Massachusetts, the lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice on March 28, 2007, but was never ruled on. It was refiled soon thereafter in U.S. District Court in Boston, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 25, 2007.[12] At the hearing the judge told ConnectU that parts of their complaint were not sufficiently pled and gave them the ability to refile an amended complaint.
On 25 June 2008 Facebook agreed to pay an undisclosed amount of cash and stock to settle the legal battle with ConnectU. The terms of the deal were confidential and the Winklevosses, Narendra and ConnectU agreed to make no future claims.

It didn't happen like that.
I'm not sure who you are, but your facts are all over the place. Doesn't matter now (since the case is settled) but you're way off.
