VentureBeat: Mochila, the market place for individual articles

    Hi matt,

Mochila has been around for a long time--is this just a review of the company or is there a news peg?

    Azeem,

Did you read the story? As I wrote, it opens its free platform Thursday to the public for the first time. I mentioned its history, too.

Sorry Matt. I couldn't see the story only the history: http://venturebeat.com/2007/01/03/mochila-the-m...

This is a good idea, and will be helpful for Forums or Blogs that would like to feature breaking news and stimulate conversation.

A topic could be started - and instead of linking to an external source, they could link to something within their site, thereby keeping their visitors.

It could also be helpful for reference/ informational web sites, that would like to raise money for hosting by putting up a seperate, but related, news page.

Hopefully, publishers will have some control over the types of ads that are shown

That would be "bear" fruit, not "bare."

    Thanks, fixed.

I haven't found much information on the terms other than what you outline. Who benefits the most from Mochila's offer (other than Mochila and giants like AP)? Is Mochila good for small publishers who want to sell content?

sounds like www.constant-content.com but for large big media. I wonder if a freelance writer can sell his/her articles on there or if you have to be part of a larger company.
