You hit the nail on the head, Jared. I highly doubt facebook will try to jump into the music space without a third-party on their side. From what I recall a couple months back, I got the impression that LaLa or iMeem were the frontrunners.

A Facebook acquisition of iLike never made sense because the majority of iLike's users are a direct result of their popularity on Facebook.

Van Natta did say the integration will focus on iLike’s discovery capabilities and that the acquisition will “take all of the great things that iLike has meant to users and extend all of the things that MySpace does and means to users within that user experience.”
