I bought a new Nokia phone, and called up customer service to get it to sync to my addressbook on my iMac. Nokia just outright resfused to do anything about Mac support!

I haven't tried outlook sync for iPhone, but atleast, they have it!

</rant>

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

So, does that mean my E71 may finally see a usable VNC client on it? After over a year? Not holding my breath. Does that mean there will be a store for one-stop shopping that my E71 can access like the iPhone I should have bought? Not holding my breath. Does that mean that Nokia will leverage the connection to the desktop for Mac users with an app that can move more than just contacts and calendars, but perhaps properly manage multimedia, file storage or tether for bluetooth-enabled systems like the MacBook? Not holding my breath. In fact, Nokia, the sound you hear is my troubled sigh that I use the E71 as my main phone. Be very, VERY glad Apple is only in bed with AT&T in the States. It's a deep sigh, because I've held my breath for you for far too long.

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

Woke Up means giving "more importance" to software rather than hardware NOW and why not before and why after Apple's success........

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

what do you mean by "woke up"?

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

if Nokia know customer very well then why it woke up only after iPhone and not before..???

Sachin

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

Small correction, his name is Anssi Vanjoki

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

Beware of people who start every single sentence with, "we are going to..."

That's what aging and increasingly irrelevant companies like Microsoft (and Nokia) say just because they think their large legacy userbase is safe from competition. Meanwhile, technology marches on.

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

Agreed. Battery life! More robust processors, more radio devices, the list gos on... Changes everything. Would be nice to hear some thoughts on this very troubling subject.

Re: Nokia aims to prove there is mobile demand beyond the iPhone

Well, let see how promising it is.
