    My basis is simply number of users who've used a 3rd party app on a given platform. The latest numbers I saw from Comscore indicated that >60% of FB users have installed an app. And the top FB apps have more active users than the top MySpace apps... for example 20M+ for Slide's FunSpace on FB vs 11M for Mobsters on MySpace. Other platforms like the iPhone simply don't have comparable installed bases yet.
