I think there are way too many gaming social networks at the moment. The demand for a gamer social network clearly doesn't exist and there is an enormous amount of supply.. [Raptr, Gamefriends, MMOCluster just to name a few]. So many game sites already have forums / communities. sites like http://mmohut.com for example already has a community.

GameFriends can also be found at http://gamefriends.com . One of the original social network for gamers. Lots of these new ones are pretty great though.
