How investigators tracked down a Modern Warfare 2 cyber pirate
"Remember, 1999 was real too" - what exactly does that mean? That there's a chance we'll have another crash? How many companies have IPO'd since then? There have been under 5 over $1BB acquisitions since then. Sure there's a lot of funding, but when all the features posing as companies crash who will get burnt cash wise besides newbie Internet VCs (hi MDV) and their investors?
Sorry for the rant, its not directed at you but I read a lot of this kind of skepticism, and just wish it were grounded in real facts, data and analysis. Given the rapid posting style I starting to figure out that that's not what blogs are about...
By the way, why use "anonymous"? I'm sure your comment is legit, but always makes one wonder whether it is someone from the company commenting. Nothing wrong with having an open debate about this.
