Yahoo has lost its groove and needs it back: http://breakoutperformance.blogspot.com/2006/10... . It can get there, but needs to start pulling the trigger.

I have to laugh at Steve Balmer. What comes around goes around. What a burn on Terry Semel...not only did yhoo get f'd here but sounds like Facebook too and the biggest burn of all is that goog just put the first gauntlet down on doing away with the traditional three media networks as we know them...ie, his cronies in Hollywood are freaking out and probably thought he was the shit when reality is his employee base has no faith in him and thinks he's all smoke and mirrors.

Who cares about "percent share of the video market" when you can host a terabyte/month of videos for less than $10 at somewhere like Site5.com

Google got good lead by acquiring youtube but it is too early to say that the game is over.

I believe there would be another start up which will challenge youtube in the future as there are lots of innovation as well as user growth potential still exist in this space.

When will Semel get fired? Yahoo! is starting to look like a train wreck more with each passing day - blown opportunities eventually add up to going nowhere.
