    Hi Eric,

    I had a think about the differences between us (xcalibre) and Amazon; about the uses and target markets that we have and I don't think we overlap enough to have a real influence on each other, other than a positive "elastic computing is good" mutual agreement.

    Amazon's cloud is excellent for an Academic use - "here's some cheap number crunching with somewhere to store your data". There is no SLA, no static IP addresses, no windows support, no live migration... While Amazon's is a cheaper service, ours comes with all the bells and whistles that make flexiscale a product more suitable for a corporate environment...

    At least, this is what I learned during the last 2 days of the FoWA conference with a great many comparisons between us and Amazon :)
