VentureBeat: Roundup: Tidbits on Jangl’s demise, Virgin considers Helio hookup, VCs looking overseas, and more

Interesting note about a prediction that as much as 50% of VC investment will come from outside the US. One question is whether under that scenario, there will continue to be dollar and volume growth in the US. Another question are the assumptions behind that statement - if the reasons for international growth are due to unfavorable exit markets in the US (temporary or semi-permanent) or more due to other regions of the world creating the necessary ecosystems that foster risk-taking and investment.

I dont know who your tipster was, but I was close enough to this deal from the jangl side to know those facts are all wrong. there was never a 20 million deal, everybody talking to jangl knew how long they had and tried to speed through negotations, etc. sad for jangl but it wasnt whitepages or any other acquirers that caused them to pack it in.
