    Something strange. Thomson Reuters and National Venture Capital Association just a week ago reported about growth in Venture Capital Investments:

    The report you're referring to is money raised by venture capital firms. (Matt wrote about it at the time.) What Matt is describing here is investments in startups made by venture capital firms. So the first report is VC money raised, this report is VC money spent. Does that make sense?
