Interesting stuff, and very plausible re: the launch date. However, maybe Google should have made a Gphone of its own? Only time will tell, and we don't have to wait too much longer.

This information correlates to what I have from both people inside Google and HTC.

The new SDK should be out before the end of August and announced in parallel with the ADC round 2 winners.

HTC told me this week "we don’t anticipate having units for quite some time" as GoogleAndBlog is on the short list to receive the Dream phone early on for reviews.
