I discovered Quantcast here on VB from other articles and have found it to be very helpful; it's an Alexa that updates quickly, gives excellent demographic breakdowns and shows a "social" view that is a good counterpoint to Google Analytics.

And Shannon you are exactly right about traffic from niche blogs as opposed to the bookmarking sites. I have this question for you: if social networks are slowly usurping the blogs as power centers, will individually hosted blogs start to fade?
