    I think parents play a large role in making sure that their kids are safe online, and often the burden/responsibility is thrown at Social Networks too easily.

    I agree that MySpace and Facebook have taken a disproportionate share of the blame; that is what happens when you are the big elephant in the room. However, as industry leaders, they should lead by example.
    There are no substitutes for good parenting, but social media companies need to realize that many parents don't "get" technology. Therefore, they should provide easy-to-use tools for parents to keep track of their children's online activities.
