VentureBeat: TechCrunch editor defaults in libel case by former employee

Yup. Arrington has really started to become a tough guy to read and follow. He really wears a badge of self entitlement. All the judge has to do is look at the ways he responds to his customers in the forums.

As is always the case, the only way to effect a genuine impact upon someone like Arrington is through their pocket book. The courts needs to extract a significant pound of flesh...errr funds...in this case to get the legal point across. What strikes me as even more strange is the fan like awe and fascination with which this poster writes about someone who is obviously a flaming a^^hole.

these unsubstantiated attacks by techcrunch seem to be part of a pattern. see this article and their correction, after they accused, without proof, a sequoia vc in china of effectively being a criminal

There's a downside to it, but I appreciate a journalist who's not trying to make friends through his site. Love him or hate him, you can't help but go back to TC.
