War to take developers attention in "cloud computing" world is about to jump to the next level.

Interesting that in general there are much more noise around the vendors(platform providers) for cloud computing - the products based on this platforms are getting much less attention - not logical...

Don't know if that's entirely true (see: Twitter), but I think platforms are potentially more significant because they can lead to a whole ecosystem of innovative products.

anthony - nice post - aster data is a really good company with really solid technologists - one thing that's interesting is how they tick both the boxes of cloud computing/distributed systems and traditional enterprise sales model.

that seems like a good way to be both ahead of the curve, and fundamentally grounded.
