Yeah, as I mention I really don't see even this deal helping out either side too much long-term. It'll be a bit of a stopgap and a nice story for a while -- 'look a true competitor for Google', but unless either of them comes up with a revolutionary new way of doing things, eventually Microsoft, or someone else, will swallow the whole of Yahoo.
