If there is something this story reveals is how confused the company was about what they set out to do, as witnessed by how many times they changed plans, some times rather drastically (like cutting the whole integrated northbridge, from what the story says). One has to question the investors, assuming they approved all those massive plans. Their projections about the market may have been faulty (not a surprise there), or their management was at fault, so it looks like they got what they deserved.
