Viral Events allows your events to spread more socially with your friends as well as allowing you to use ticketing within your events.

Re: Tired of the events mess on Facebook? Great aggregation features. Site design could use a lot of work.

Re: Tired of the events mess on Facebook? It's about time a real, solid invitation app goes mainstream.

I've tried using some alternatives: mypunchbowl, crush3r, etc. - all of which are much more feature rich and powerful.

In theory they should have worked better in terms of communicating the events details, integration with 3rd party services and more. However, most of the invitees never opened the invitation. Maybe it's because nobody likes me, but once I talked with people individually, they were very confused by the non-evite services.

The evite brand is so strong that people know what it is immediately. The open the link that lands in their e-mail without hesitation.

I think it's possible to displace evite with something that actually works, but the key will be in brand building.

Re: Tired of the events mess on Facebook? Granted when trying to organize that level of information for so many individuals it can get messy. But what else can I do? Leaving Facebook or MySpace now-a-days is like throwing out your phone and address book in the early 90's.

Check out TechWaterCooler.com for more Tech news and videos.

Re: Tired of the events mess on Facebook?
