If I were you I would add some VC rating/ranking/feedback mechanism to VentureBeat instead of sourcing TheFunded. With your background and familiarity with the Venture Community, you might be a much more effective moderator for it, and obviously it would also add a lot of value to the site. Excellent move Matt.

I came to know about thefunded.com recently, it is great site for all things about VC firms, advice etc.

These reviews are user generated, you dont get wrong with wisdom of the crowd and democratic process. I think it makes your site more richer.

SiliconBeat was the news site I started while I worked at the San Jose Mercury News. I left the Mercury News last year. What's so hard to understand about VentureBeat? Let me know, because we're thinking right now about a redesign.
