Have you seen www.clevercommute.com? It allows public transit commuters to share real-time info in several major cities (yes - we cover Caltrain).
Free to use...and it actually works well here in the NY/NJ/CT area...where it has become part of the fabric of the daily commute. We have thousands of people using it...
I started in in '06 as a frustrated commuter. Now, it's my full-time job!
